Chocolate Whey Protein Granola

This delicious treat comes from Jennifer Samway, endurance athlete and yoga instructor.  It is low in sugar and has plenty of protein from the BeFit Chocolate Protein powder, buckwheat, and nuts. The walnuts and coconut oil provide healthy fats, buckwheat and oats add fiber, and the cinnamon gives it a nice kick of spice.  You can eat it on its own as an easy snack, or like cereal covered with your favorite kind of milk.  It’s also a great topping for a smoothie, yogurt, or cottage cheese.

Chocolate Joy Protein Shake

Here is another recipe from Jennifer Samway, endurance athlete and yoga instructor.  It is a creamy and delicious shake with and coconut flakes and specks of cocoa nibs which give it a rich tasting “Joy” after a hard workout.  The coconut makes it full of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) that support the immune system, thyroid, nervous system, and skin and provide fast energy.  The cocoa nibs are full of magnesium, iron, chromium, manganese, and zinc.  The cinnamon has been shown to be beneficial to maintaining already healthy glucose levels.
